how do I clean burned sugar out of a stainless steel pot?

I was cooking down maple sap in a stainless steel stock pot, it burned pretty badly. Is there anyway to get the pot clean

Boil water in the pot to make the burnt sugar liquid again. You may have to repeat this process.

clorox bleach will liquefy the carbon, be careful

I would actually let it soak in the sink for like a day or two with dish detergent in it. It should come right up.
Good Luck

Pour coca-cola in it and let it set overnight. Coke will clean the battery on your car, so it should take this off as well.
